My favorite characters from super smash bros. melee (These guys seriously need more love! It's always Link, Marth and Roy!) God I love this game! It was the first game cube game I bought and it's still the best and I still play it. If melee was this good I can't wait for brawl (like everybody who owns the Wii)! Tough I've heard a rumor that Ice Climbers are not going to be in it and that would be a really shame because they are my favorite of all. Heck! When I was 12-14 all the art I did was Ice Climbers related and they are still my favorite Nintendo couple (Yes!! Couple!! Watch that opening video!!)Anyway... I really love the backround. First I didn't know what to do and then I decided to put something from characters stages. That's Icicle mountain... Pop Star... Fourside (and the UFO) and pokemon balloons. And that round stage is inspired by yoshi's island.

P.S. Yes, I always play as yellow yoshi and pikachu with the party hat.

KIRBY! i thinks Pikachu is seriously underestimated... in the metal room stage for brawl (i cant remember the name) i was playing as Pikachu and i took down one of the destructible walls. one hit full health (its the headbutt move)

Where?!? The japanese melee site said they are friends. There are a scene in melee's opening where they clap their hands togeher and a heart appear above their heads symbolizing love and this is straight from the Dojo site: "When you use Belay with two climbers, they perform a feat that leaves you dazzled at the depths of their friendship!"

Well, i could have sworn it did, though i dont play as ice climbers much ill admit. the main reson i consider them more like siblings is the fact they look and act exactly alike. if you play as Snake in his shadow Mosis level in Brawl, and then activate the code for a transmission for info about them, Snake will get a message from Mei Ling. she has this thing with Chinese Proverbs, or sayings. and quotes one for every character shes called for info.
"Though Brothers quarrel at the Home, outside they protect eachother from strife."
stating that no matter how much siblings argue, they alwase look out for eachother. i dnt think that she would use a Saying that regarded family ties, if Nana and Popo wernt related. if they wernt she would have used one that represented strong friendships.

It's just a proverb and even though she mentions word "brothers" in it, it doesn't mean people have to be siblings. I have a book of proverbs from East and almost every proverb has something to do with family and siblings.
What I find funny is that I never considered Ice climbers to be siblings. Even before I even started to adore them. But seriously, any two persons who wear clothes like them look alike! And the acting like same is because that's their main idea in the game. You control two characters insted of one. Outside of battlefield I'm sure they have complitely different personalities. Plus the japanese melee site said they are childhood friends and since they are really young in the game already, I asume they have been together a long time and they know everything about eachother...
Okey I'll stop... I could continue this whole day but I'll save both of us.

Well, dojo said Sheik is a "she" so that's out of the way already. I'm okay as long as people don't come lecturing me every single time I do NanaxPopo stuff. I understand the old habits die hard but it's a fact that they are friends.... But, everybody their own way.

Oh yeah, and I think that you're half right about their relationship. It says on the Japenese Wiki that the two are "more than friends, but less than lovers". So they are not siblings, but they don't share an intimate relationship (probably because of their age).
But then again, the way you draw them makes anything possible *shrug*

Wow. I like your style when combined with nintendo. They look realistic, yet still, for lack of a better description, Nintendo. The spherical planet, and the b ackground are a nice touch.
