Today is my birthday, but I also have a gift for you guys. Two Rain Check pages, and with that, this chapter is over.
This was indeed based on an old comic I made long ago in two evenings. And I am glad I could go back to it and fleshen out the story more. Hope you guys liked it. Thank you for reading and all the support.
Next week, the comic is gonna take a break (unless we get the patreon milestone back) and after that, we’ll start the fourth chapter. I see some purple ink in the future. ;D

It's not everyday do you get to finish a comic chapter, let alone on your birthday. So here! Take an entire cake for finishing Rain Check!
It'll be almost two years since you started making Splatoon comics! Time flies when you're having fun. It's a sentiment that's becoming more true to me everyday. But I think by now you forged something even more than iron. That iron probably forged itself into your favorite Splatoon weapon/equipment/gear you like to wear in-game. And you'd use your new iron-made material in the new Splatoon game that's coming out!
Anyway, I thought the story would become more serious in a different way, but it ended up being something I heavily relate to (Taloupe feeling alone until he found his friends in Team Vitamin Ink and now with his Petal Splash boyfriend). Also, it never hurts to have more couples to ship. 
So, congrats for finishing a n o t h e r wonderful comic! I can't wait to see what purple ink leaves a trail of in the future.

Not only am I smiling, I am making random happy "mmmmmm" noises. Out loud. While making breakfast. His little laugh in the 4th panel is lovely, and their sweet interaction reinforces how much I want him to have more happiness in his life.

Hey, Tammy, what do you think of the little redesign Inklings have gotten? You know, the fact that they have more beaks than teeth now. Also thoughts on Off The Hook?

New redesign? If they did I haven't noticed. I know Pearl and Marina have unique beaks tho. And they're fine

They no longer have the fang like parts on the top, only the single point on the bottom. Pearl and Marina have a singular point on the top instead of the bottom.

Hmm, I have the demo here on my hands and the inklings are chatting and I can see their beaks. They still have two pointy teeth on upper row and one in lower. Same in official art splatoonwiki.org/wiki/File:S2_…
As for Pearl and Marina, they both have single pointy tooth on both upper and lower beak.

Must have been left out in the introductory cinematic for Marina and Pearl, as I was working off of that, since we get some shots of various Inkling mouths and the two pointy parts aren't there.
That was my first thought, but considering the inklings in the cinematic I just assumed it was the top tooth causing an optical illusion since it overlaps the bottom)
