Here's the webcam collection of year 2014! Did you miss any?

Those who are not familiar with this tradition, I change my webcam every Monday. So keep checking my webcam during 2015 too!

This year I had a theme for whole year... VIDEO GAME MUSIC! I chose 52 video game music pieces I like and drew a picture inspired it. Each pic was, of course, posted with the music accompanying it. These are not my top 52 VG music or anything. I tried to choose as many pieces from as many series as I could. The idea was more to introduce people to some great music. I also chose my favorite version of the music. There are some original versions, official remixes or even fan remixes. But hey! What's the point talking about the music if you can't hear it? So, have a link to the whole playlist I collected during 2014! Have over 2h of amazing video game music to listen to!

I'd also like to say something about my choices....

First, I never really played FF games or other JPRPGs so there aren't much music from those games. Most of these are from games and series I've grown with. Tho there are a couple music pieces I discovered recently, even during 2014!

There is also three series I want to give special mention:

Donkey Kong Country David Wise is a genius these three pieces I chose, Aquatic Ambiance, Sticker brush Symphony and Mining Melancholy are one of my favourite VG music and music in general. If I were to send to a deserted island with only one video game soundtrack, I think I would pick his works.

Castlevania I bought the first Castlevania Game Boy Advance "Nes Classic" game JUST BECAUSE OF IT'S MUSIC. Now that is a mark of amazing video game soundtrack.

Mario series *sigh* I mostly chose these randomly but I made sure to start and end with Mario pieces. The first one, "Mushroomy Kingdom" is definitely the most well know video game music piece and I think it deserved the start spot. Then, "staff roll/ ending of Mario 64". This... Is a very special VG music for me. Mario 64 was THE game that got me into gaming in the first place and even to this day I get emotional when I hear this music. It's a perfect ending music for this game that still holds a special place in my heart. You can also see that there are a lot of Mario music on this list. And for a good reason I think. I don't think I've ever heard a Mario tune I can't stand listening to. Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack is one of the best music works I've ever listened to.

And that's it... I also tried to use a same drawing style the whole year. I wanted to try this... "Sketchy pastel" type of thing. I loved using it first but I did got a bit bored at the end and I think it shows in some works. But there are a couple pics I really like.

So? What do I have store for next year? Well, I know for sure I will not stick with the same drawing style. XD Happy New Year 2015!
