Description YAY! It's Cloud Strife from the video game Final Fantasy VII and the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children I saw a pretty picture of him and I decided that I would try my hands at a portrait. I decided to draw a CGI character because my realism pretty much sucks and I thought it would be easier than attempting a 'real person' for my first ever portrait.

Anyway, this is my FIRST ever portrait and the first time I've ever really tried shading and using value and all that so I know there is a lot that I need to improve on but I think it's pretty darn good for a first try.. plus I love Cloud so I think that makes up for it.. <3

All done in mah sketchbook.. I just put a little colour overlay so it didn't blind people so much with white if they looked at it... I hope you enjoy it!

Full View? Comment? I'd love some critiques to help me improve but if you just want to say how pretty he is, I'm not complaining

You gave him more personal look than in the movie I think. Still it's not a bit worse. What caught my eye here is the eyes of his. You made them shine like real ones. It's a great advantage of your work. Maybe it's not an ideal copy of the movie graphics (mine are neither) but it shows your personal attitude. Good job.

thanks so much for the critique..! I find that the eyes are the hardest in most portraits.. espeically the realistic shine.. :<
