Nice compo! The shadow makes the shot, so yeah I agree, boost up the blacks a bit. I dunno about the highlights, I like it how they are soft and tender (much like the subject)! Ok, enough of looking at your page, back to work

I like this composition. Being able to see only a part of a body on a photograph always gives that picture a certain kind of extra dimension. The contrast is adequate; a bit more would have improved the overall look.
Surprisingly, the part of the picture that appeals most to me is the right part - the empty wall. Somehow it gets to me, although it's just a wall.
One thing: it should have been slightly sharper. That would have definitely improved this picture a lot. Still, one of the better photos I've seen in a while.

The lack of sharpness is due to the fact that I was using only natural light coming in from the window. It produces some problems sometimes with the focus, but. you know. I'm still trying to learn how to work with natural light. I worked with the contrast also, but found that it usually ended up overblowing the highlights on the hands and hips. I'm thinking of re-shooting these with different lighting to see if I like it. So we'll see. Like I said - thanks for being candid, glad you like it
