Flapjack tapped Fiona on the shoulder. "Hey! I've never seen that lion before, hup! Wow, their mane is so shiny! I wonder how they keep so many sparkles in it?"
As they strolled along the dawn lit trail, Fiona looked in the direction Flapjack was pointing. A silver lion with a silky blue mane was crouched in the grass just off the path, sweeping their paws through the grass as if searching for something. Fiona called out to ask if they needed help.

Lexie looked up from the grass to see the two headed her way. She could hear acorns and sticks rattling against glass as she shoved bottled terrariums in her bag. "N-no, sparkle! I'm alright!" she called back, stuffing flowers in the pockets. She tied her bag shut and tugged the strap over her shoulder, standing to leave.

"Wow, your mane is even prettier up close, hup!" Flapjack said with a sparkle in her eye as she ran up to Lexie, "How do you keep it so shiny?"

"Oh, this?" Lexie said, running a paw through her mane. "It's the same as any lion's - most men just don't know how to deep condition, sparkle. I'd believe you if you've never seen a lion with a mane like mine before - buuuut I'm sure you've never seen a lioness with one, either!" She put her paws on her hips and let out a loud, deep chuckle.

Flapjack nodded, a smile across her face. "Oh yes, it's very special, hup! Certainly unique!"

"I wish I could have hair like yours, flower!" Fiona chimed in.

Lexie rubbed the back of her neck, blush across her cheeks. The light of the rising sun lit the ends of her fur. "Aw, y'all are too much! Thanks for the compliments, sparkle! Sorry to part ways so soon, but I really should be getting back home. My aunt will be worrying about me, if she wakes up to find me missing."

"Understandable, hup!" Flapjack promised. "If you ever want to chat, my name is Flapjack, and you can find me at the little bakery down the road here! If you see the garden next door, you can probably find Fiona there. Just be careful not to step on her bees, hup!"

Lexie winked, clicked her tongue, and mimed finger guns at the villagers as she backed towards the path, then turned and sprinted home. Though it was a nice encounter, Lexie couldn't help wishing she had been able to enjoy the rest of the silence and sunrise without the interruption. It was almost meditative, being alone with nature, finding pieces of the earth to bring indoors. But, perhaps, she thought, it wouldn't hurt to visit the rabbit's bakery one day...

TLDR; lexie gathers plants, moss, cool rocks, and other interesting nature things for terrariums and witchy purposes. fiona and flapjack see her on their morning walk and tell her she has pretty hair, which is nice bc usually when people comment on her hair its transphobic
