Description I promise this will be last Billie Piper drawing for a long time! I think I just watched to many episodes over the week and got a little carried away.

That, and I wanted a new one to replace my first portrait of her [link]

=WraithTen liked it so much, she requested a print. I decided to surprise her with the original instead. I'm so happy it has a good home.

Darn, the scan looks terrible. The original looks so much nicer than this. If it stops raining for a change tomorrow, I'll try and snap a photo of it and upload that instead.

LOL! My Billie's seem to be quite popular with the crowd. I don't really have plans of parting with her anytime soon, but of course that might always change, one day. You really like this one?

I do! I have a photo of a 3/4 face shot of her that's in my to do file with a look something like this but you're a much better artist than I am!! This is really well done!!

You should definitely do it! She's quite a lovely subject. I like her strong facial features. And don't say that, I'm not a better artist by any means. It'd be nice to see what you do with it.

Aww, anytime Nathan. Wet hair is rather tedious, but if you draw them dark, and in clumps it should be okay. As for the highlights, I used a pencil eraser to bring them out, and at the very end, if I feel they need to "pop" more, I go over the erased bits with a white charcoal pencil.

Well, sometimes we have to find ways to improvise. Once, on a color pencil drawing, I accidentally covered too much of the pupil in black that there was no way of picking out a light highlight in the eyes. What to do? I cheated and used some white out, or tipp ex to make the dots. It was either that or start over.

LOL! It does, doesn't it. The reference photo was actually a color photo, and she's apparently wet. I guess she's mad that someone poured a bucket of water on her and her heavy mascara is going to give her panda bear eyes.

Gorgeous expression!! Here's another woman we'd think three times about crossing paths with in that legendary "dark alley!" lol! The focus in this piece is stunning: right in on that smoldering, almost feral expression (I almost feel like I'm the prey she's about to pounce on, lol!)--the shading is to die for, so deep and rich...gawd, the eyes... So bottomless... Another , dear!

Don't you just love photos like that...? I have a few still lying around that I just haven't had time to get to--the ones that just "snag" the eye... It's an amazing, very arresting piece!

Indeed I do! It's a bit tougher drawing from such close up shots. The pressure to get details nearly perfect always looms over one's head. However it's very good practice to learn certain things about the features such as eyes and lips.

I can't wait to see your "eye snagging" projects you've got planned. Then again, where you are concerned, all of your work is eye catching.

But I have to second what Far said, there is never too much Billie Piper, or Tennant. She's beautiful. The shading, the hair, the eyes...gorgeous. And yes, cp Billie is looking down on me right now, she's quite content - as am I. Richard is correct, you are just the sweetest.
