yeah, but for me render times always rack up, cause of my lack of amazing skilzors
and i hate to turn off GI, and since my primary use of Max is games, i often have to render hundreds of such frames

I think for Animations, go for your standard scanline renderer, least number of shadow bounces and then do an Aftereffects on the finalized piece.

i wait for the day that Maxwell makes their renderer as good as vray or mentalray

Bah... I've vowed never to touch that renderer ever again since my last unfortunate encounter with it. Unbelievably grainy i tells ya. I reckon though it was my comp coz i was reading up on the faqs and even then with the quality tweaked up, it made no diff..
Maybe i'll give it another try tho. I mean if it can do what you say it can do (judging from ur high quality of ur work).. im sure u would know.

it looked almost real. the reason why i was able to tell it was a render was the anti aliasing on the top of the tv screen

Save for the stark coloring/yet lack of transluency on the curtains, and the too soft shadows cast by the the easel and stool, I can't tell tis not a photograph. At a glance I couldn't tell it wasn't a photograph. Great work man
