Hmmm start from making a rough sketch of a body, then add features you want your gargoyle to have.
I recommend drawing the head last so it'd match the body and then add light and shades!
btw he's not a gargoyle but it's a nice suggestion it probably doesn't help that he's got bat wings and's grey ...like a gargoyle
