I can see how it'd be a tourist attraction. We had something like that around my area when a tree got hit by lighting and the stump carved into a ten foot Paul Bunyan. These bring in more tourists than you'd expect. I love the misty background giving it a very European feel as if it could be a small German forest town.

Whoa, that is an epic statue. Is it stone, or actual wrought metalwork?

It looks like a 3d model with a nice filter on. Great pic!

Oh that sounds so cool! My town's just an ordinary seaside town. Nothing too special besides the sea.Β

It is pretty cool... but hey, the sea is nice! To you and me, it might seem ordinary because we're so familiar with it, but I bet that it would be pretty special to someone who's never seen it before. Who knows, maybe somewhere in the world there are people who'd eagerly trade their hometown full of gigantic, "boring" knight statues for an afternoon at a cool, "exciting" seaside town? All a matter of perspective, I suppose.

In the UK during the winter we tend to get storms, the rain gets super heavy and then there's a strong wind blowing you in one direction or another, even with a coat on I tend to get soaked through!

That doesn't sound fun... it's not so great where I live, either. I live about an hour's drive from Seattle, which seems to be infamous for its rainy, downcast weather.

Recently it's just been snowing an insane amount, really rare for this part of the country but kinda cool in a way! Sorry for the late reply! I've been buried under uni work and some teaching I was doing!

Oh, no problem! I absolutely love snow; we've only had a few brief flurries of it this winter but that's better than nothing, I suppose. If I were you I would take advantage of that snowy weather and spend like a whole day sledding. Sledding is such great fun but I messed up my tailbone doing it several years back; it never quite healed right. Never underestimate sinister-looking bumps on a slope, that's my advice.

I'm not used to snow around here, it's weird seeing the sea freeze, it only snows about every ten years or so here. The cold messes up my joints a fair bit as well, I ended up doing that with my tailbone when I was a teen as I'd slipped on ice when we were getting supplies back on a sled as we were snowed in too much to get food from the shops. Even now the cold makes me seize up.Β
