So.. the one to blame for that is the player not chara or frisk.

The player, is, well Frisk. There's a character in every game you play as. Unless the character is supposed to not be you and is supposed to be different and have their own personality then they're basically you. Frisk, canonally, is just. You. So whatever you do in the game it's Frisk doing it. Whatever you do is projected onto Frisk. You kill Frisk kills. Not in a "possession" way but Frisk is just. You. You do whatever you want with them you give them any personality likes or dislikes or characteristics because you're supposed too
