Yes indeed, these are Pilar's parents! Mallory and Alejandro Brooks, married for a total of 33 years. (This depiction of them is probably of them in their 40's)

They had known each other sometime during their childhood from middle to high school, things leading from one to another and they ultimately became a couple! They had their first born when Mallory was 17 and Alejandro was 18, growing their family ever since until Mallory's death due to cancer at the age of 50.

Sooner or later I might make a drawing of the whole family since I have been doodling them lately
