Ladybugs are said to be very lucky and blessed to see one. Some come in different colors like red, orange or even yellow! It is quite rare to see one during the winter season.I drew her a while back and redesigned her a bit. I gave her a sweater since she lets out her buggies during the winter sometimes. I tried to make a background to make it look magical and stuff but nope. Can't do it still.

I really love the composition of this piece. The muted pastel colours, which seems to be indicative of your style, works wonderfully with the subject.
Backgrounds are tricky and something I rarely bother with (Laziness: Guilty on all counts yer' honour!) however my advice would be to look at lightingΒ techniques such as filters and what not. Often in what we might call CGAA (Computer Generated Anime Art) backgrounds are simple shapes and structures which hint at a scene whilst clever lighting draw focus away from the background and compliment the character.

Anatomy isn't my strongest area, however given the liberal interpretation in manga and anime, the best quality is uniformity, if it looks right it is right. Manga is a simplified aesthetic art form. In other words the anatomy looks good and the pose refreshing.Β
