Description
This is the piece that Kacey and I did for the FCN conbook cover. The scene is a Japanese summer festival, with lots of characters enjoying themselves in yukata (light summer kimono), and getting treats/playing games at the various booths.Kacey did the pencil sketch of the piece and inked it digitally, and I did the coloring in Photoshop. Large file, loooots of layers!

Lol, it's drawings like these that I kinda wished I stayed in Japan alittle longer few years ago to experience these moments. My families japanese, and me parents says this art most certainly reminds them of their festival in Japan also.

To be quite frank, this is literally almost the exact same scene as the Japanese Summer Festival from Cardcaptors. Literally almost the exact same scene, different character animations, but I don't see this as original aside from a little bit of changing. Whether that was intended, or this was an artists rendition of the scene, I don't know. But I've had multiple people agree with me that this is almost exactly the same scene.

this looks fantastic! I love the colors C:. there is a funny tangent though, the tail of the one looks like it is attached to the same tail of another. The leopards? I dunno the animal too well D:, but it looks like the younger one has one extra long tail. But who am I kidding, this is still amazing
