Description
A member of the Monastery of Earth, Chen is wild-tempered monk who was forced to joined the monastery after his family found out about his constant troublemaking. The only reason why Chen stayed was because he loved the martial arts, which the monks practiced in secrecy. Ever since he became part of the monastery, Chen's goal was to prove to himself worthy to fellow monks and his rival Fuu. His style of martial arts is Jeet Kune Do. In one story I had an idea for (but never wrote), Chen was a victim of the Great Warp, an event that completely altered the laws of physics. He was granted the ability to generate and control electricity, but the downside was that his body was slowly turning into dust (Hui-Chen is Chinese for "dust"). He would join forces with Fuu of the Monastery of Heaven to find the source of the Warp and undo it before his body crumbles and dies.

Two things: 1) As I'm trying to sort out all of the drawings on my to-do list, I tried to time myself while working on an earlier drawing. The plan was to price a cel-shaded drawing, but once I made a mistake, there was no way I could recover during the rest of the day. So, I recovered after a couple of hours of sleep, and cranked this one out. I wanted to go for a Toriyama-esque style of cel-shading, and although it doesn't come close to what Toriyama did in the '90s, I still love the way this drawing came out. 2) While I'm doing the requests from my thread, I will also do drawings of my own OCs.
