Yes I use nothing but LS and have no idea how to use anything else nearly well enough to kill monsters XD I used SA in tri just because they didn't have LS right off the bat, but I'm still not as good with it. I actually switch between armors depending on what I'm fighting, but this is currently what I was wearing on my MHP3rd game. I really like drawing each armor piece and staring at it carefully to examine all the little details

It's the volcano/desert armadillo/anteater thing. Not sure if it's called something different in english officially because I'm using a hacked version that's half japanese half english o_o
So far it's served me pretty well but I'm just using it until I get much better elemental longswords. It just happens to be my max upgraded LS.
I've used bows a few times to mess around with them, but like I've said somewhere in previous comments I'm so inadequate with using anything but an LS it wouldn't do me any good in bigger fights xD;

And, YAY! A FELLOW LS USER! I'M NOT ALONE! I hate it when the n00bs tell me Ls are for n00bs, and I then proceed to beat their butts at hunting, and THEN they say that I'm no good at hunting...

People probably think it's a n00by weapon because it's generally easy to use, but to use it really well takes a lot of time (as with any weapon XP) So don't mind them they're just being butts lol.

Yeah, but, as I've told my brother (who is a GS master, coincidentally) "The Long Sword, while many believe to be easy, what with the button mashing, is actually much more difficult to master than any other weapon apart from the Bowgun. The reason, is anyone can mash buttons, but a TRUE master knows when to stop, and start his combo over again."
My point is that I learned how to NOT use the Spirit Blade, and how much better my hunts went after I learned restraint.

I've never cared for Ranguro's armor personally, but you drew it quite well! Kudos~ That narga blade is lookin pretty sweet too.
I'm a switch axe user myself, it's the weapon I can destroy anything with, but I also play with the long sword and hammer and dual swords. Great swords though... can't do a damn thing with em.

To each their own, and I'm glad you like the sword! That's where I started getting tired of coloring and got a little lazier with it haha.
Hammer and duel swords I've tried before but the short range of it always gets me. Great swords I can kind of manage, but I always forget you're able to block using it.

Hidden moon saber the better normal type long sword in tri.
I pretty much don't need use the hidden moon saber now since I use the amatsu set.

I thought it was the best normal LS? Is there a better one? In tri I remember switching between Lagia, Barioth, and Rathalos armor and changing my weapon depending on the monster's weakness.

Hidden moon saber doesn't exist in wii tri I don't have tri G why will they not release it yet!
In tri I normally just use dark claw demise purely for its extreme high natural sharpness and that dragon is quite effective on almost every monster in that game.
In 3rd if you have a set that has sharpness +1 you can pretty much use every other weapon instead of Hidden moon due to the highest sharpness in that game is white.

It should be coming out soonish right? It's going to be for 3DS though, at least that's what I heard.
That's true, I generally just don't use dragon because of the limited number of things there are that have it, and what it usually takes to upgrade them before they're better than any alternative weapon.
Yeah I'm sure I'll switch the Hidden Moon anyways, right now it just happens to be my strongest weapon because monsters don't want to drop what I need to upgrade everything else D<

I know and the fact when you have to grind monsters just to get a stupid ruby out of them. Ah well at least I have the armours I like. Jinouga, Silver Rathalos, Naruga, Amatsu.

Yeah but then you give up trying to grind for it after 20 of them, go on a leisurely hunt with a friend that has the monster you were grinding, and then get like three of what you need in one quest D<
