He is guarding us against the aliens, but even he can't protect us from ourselves.So hey, this is my message to everyone out there, suffering from the wars nowadays.
We are dreaming of meeting aliens, but in fact, we are not ready for it. Not even close. And we'll not be ready until we will learn how to respect each other here, on the Earth. For them we are just stupid children, who can't control themselves.

Quite the God complex, ay Doctor?
Wonderful image, it kinda reminds me of that Torchwood Series 3 teaser regarding why would The Doctor turn from the Earth? And like you said, if aliens do exist and wanted to meet us, it'd be better at a time when humanity learns to give up on war, colonization, imperialism, racism, bigotry, etc. We are a near 50,000 year old species, but in comparison to the universe, that is a speck in the sands of time. That's why I love fictional heroes like The Doctor, to show us this is what we are and it isn't just in our imagination. I mean I'm Christian, but I know that I gotta love and respect people, even if I can't agree with them because why start a fight at all. Thanks for making this great piece of artwork; it gave me a smile.
