Actually this was taken by one of the cheapest lens on the planet. A Nikkor 50mm 1.8D a prime lens. I just received it yesterday but I already love it. It's really nice to be able to take pictures in low light plus the lens itself is really light so that's a nice benefit too.

I haven't seen it sold as a kit lens. Kit's usually have some kind of normal zoom lens(like the 18-55mm). Anyway, I bought it differently, nyaa. Prime lenses are cheap much cheaper than zoom lenses because they are so much simpler to make. They generally also have much better image quality because they don't have to compromise.
Nothing counts more than the actual photographer. No matter how good your tools are if you do not know how to use them you won't take nice pictures.

I do have it, but I don't use it anymore(as I have better lenses and I don't trust the plastic mount with my new camera body). It's the prime 50mm lens I've been using lately as I only got it last Friday.
By taking pictures?

That's a good question...I'd love to do this as my work. *giggles*
Four, I think. The first lens was the Kit lens 18-55. After a year or so I wanted something better so I bought the 16-85 to give me more freedom and a great all around lens as well. Soon after that I bought the 105mm Macro lens, which I so love. And the latest one was the 50mm prime lens for times when I need a fast lens, light lens and of course for rainy weather too.

Simply try to get yourself a name. Every picture that you will get published, even for free, will add to your "value". Getting actual experience as a photographer for example be a volunteer photographer for a convention, a party etc.
What it does? It's fast(the maximum aperture is 1.8) therefore I need less light to get better images or in some cases I'm able to take hand held photographs because of this lens. Secondly, it's cheap so if rain managed to damage it I won't cry but just order a new one without any thought. It's much easier to risk a lens worth 140 Euro instead of over 500 Euro. However, rain wasn't the only reason why I wanted it.
Let's see...all in all it should be about as much a I paid for my camera body. So in other words...way too much!*sighs* And I ain't even buying the expensive stuff yet.
I'm not quite sure I understand. so you want sample pictures by the different lenses?
50mm Prime [link] shows the narrow depth of field only obtainable with a big aperture lens like this prime.
16-85mm Zoom [link] [link] the flexibility of the zoom lens. (wide and tele are both possible)
105mm Macro [link] magnification of the macro lens. Also the sharpest lens for short focusing distances(as it's been made for it). Several examples of this in my cat pictures.
I hope this was what you asked for.

Weddings are definitely good but the hardest ones of all. The lightening is usually pretty hard because of dark churches not to forget that some churches have banned using a flash totally. If you mess up, it's not going to pretty. Weddings definitely are great but they come with a high risk as well.
I'm glad you liked it, nyaa.
There are a lot different kind of lenses and you should learn what the difference is. Both of them are better suited for some situations therefore you should know what you need. Zoom lenses are generally more expensive because they're more complicated.
You're welcome, nyaa.
Oh yes...I love that lens despite its weight. Since I bought few months ago it's been the lens on my body for most of the time. I think I changed it out once when I was taking pictures of my friend so the zoom was much better option.
Actually wide lenses are the best for landscapes. So like 10-20mm or something like that. The normal zoom lenses are best for situations where you need the freedom or simply don't have the time or space to move back and worth to get the right framing. Like when you're at a convention or festival. Place with a lot of people, so when it limits a lot of your movement and speed. Therefore having the ability going from wide to slight tele is going to be very practical, nyaa. The prime might be faster have a better image quality but that won't matter if you won't be able to get close/far enough to actually take the shot you want.
