Ever since Storm and Black Panther got married, I have wondered what their kids would be like. I have always imagined Storm with a big family. Well, a couple of possible children have sprung up in comics recently (Gen-Next, Next Avengers, Black Panther 2008 Annual). I haven’t liked any of them. I came up with my own months ago while I was in class, and I have finally put the pen to paper to make my ideas a reality. I present to you, Prince T’Wari Munroe, AKA The White Lion!
T’Wari was groomed to be the next King of Waknda, however, once his mutant powers manifested at 12, he ran away to travel the African and South American continents. He lived alone constantly moving until 7 years later he reemerged to be trained by former X-man and Avenger, The Beast.
White Lion has the best attributes of both his parents: His Father’s cool calculating intellect, and his mother’s street smarts and passion for life. T’Wari refuses to return to Waknda and claim the title of Black Panther because he wants to forge his own way in the world. This has caused a major rift between him and his father.

He looks like a male version of his mother (tall, lean, high cheek bones, long white locks that look like a lion’s mane), except he has a slight feral appearance, similar to how Storm looked when she was “devolved” in the Savage Land. He has pointed ears, and retractable claws, enlarged canines, and his eyes are black with white cat-like pupils. Though he is an attractive young man, he was originally self conscious about his inhuman appearance. He usually wore something with a hood to hide his mutation. As he trained with Beast, and met more super humans, he became more comfortable with himself and his looks.
He has the typical feral person’s powers (enhanced senses, strength, speed, reaction time, agility, healing, etc). He also inherited his mother’s control of the weather, though his feral nature makes it hard for him to master it. He mostly relies on his intellect, fighting skills and other physical based powers. Because of his royal upbringing, T’Wari had the best tutors available. He speaks several languages, is a superb fighter, and has a natural inclination for academics. He loves books, and being outdoors and foreign films.

I don’t know why, but I am really in love with this character! It’s the first time I have made my own, and I really like it. More of him will definitely come later. So what do you think? Does he seem interesting?
