Description
A fan interpretation of s anthomnia sub tissoplastic rex.I switched out the feathers for scales I normally use with my tisso concepts just because I like the idea of it using active camouflaged rather than turning partially invisible.
I did like the shape the feathers gave the creature though and tried to lay out the spines to mimic them.
Aaaaand a little bioluminescent spots for fun.

I know it is now named Nyctatyrannus, but Sub Tisso rex sounded really stupid, like why would you want your mascot animal to be a unfully grown animal? Plus it confused me, is it a sub-adult rex that is tissoplastic or is it a tissoplastic rex sub-adult? Ehh I really don't like Anth too much but that is just me.

I'm pretty sure its not 'sub adult', there are forms of sub-species, this is a 'sub-species' form of the original Tissoplastic rex, which is why it was originally called Sub-Tisso

hey tapwing, i just made a painting thats kind of the cross between your tisso and emily's tisso. it has the dark purple skin and the creepiness of your design but it has some feathers on the arms and chest. but its just showing the head, but im working on a full bodied version.

Not saying this is bad, it looks awesome, ... but that doesn't look like the model the isle devs are trying to create more specifically the skull, the rest of the body looks good, but it's the head I'm curious about. It doesn't match the model head of the Sub-tisso rex.
Just saying the drawing is great, but the head needs to match with the model.

originaly when I drew this I didn't have the intent of it effecting the modle Anth and his team were making.
So I wanted to try something different with the head details to create my own take on Emily's creature.
Really this was more made as fan art to Emily and Anth than anything els.
It being used at all was a big surprise for me.
