Description

Here comes the idea I initially got back in high school, but only managed to draw now, due to my skill not being good enough back then. A Warhammer40k necron OC:

Hememkhar is a necron overlord, who rules over the Zemrektakh Dynasty, that resides in the galactic North-West, in the Halo Stars. Though Zemrektakh Dynasty always was relatively small and never had too strong of a military presence, it accumulated large amount of wealth through trade and ensured its safety through alliances with neighbors. Hememkhar, the current ruler of the dynasty, though excentric, was always known for his compassion and care for his people, which he retained even after Biotransferece. For that trait he is called the Benevolent. He used the wealth and resources of his dynasty to ensure that his people get highest quality bodies, which led to them retaining slightly more of their former selves than the necrons of other dynasties. Even though members of the lower ranks of his armies are still mere shadows of who they used to be, those simple emotionless warriors still have subtle mannerisms and faint traces of memory of their past lives, that come to the surface from time to time.

Hememkhar likes art exquisite craftsmanship, also encouraging any form of talent. Though he thinks that his people are indeed the supreme rulers of the galaxy, he tries to strike deals and form alliances with other species, deeming them more useful alive, rather than dead. Zemrektakh people in general tend to be less hateful towards other sentient life than the members of other necron dynasties. Perhaps that, and Hememkhar’s overall benevolence, is why when his capital tomb world of Awashur (also called Keinam by its other inhabitants) has awakened and the necrons found out that the surface was inhabited by primitive creatures calling themselves “humans”, they did not wipe them out, instead making them their vassals.

Zemrektakh Dynasty uses white and copper as its signature colors, as well as gold color for light. They tend to favor round shapes in their armor, weaponry and decorations.
