Description
The Plague of Alteration does not simply kill, resurrect and mutate people and animals. It twists the land, poisons the soil and tortures the spirits of nature. During the War of the Dead, the entirity of Rogden kingdom, as well as the southern part of Perrafia, were consumed by the Plague and transformed into a hideous realm of decay. The trees and soil are now covered in blisters filled with pale green contagious ooze and pus. The air is filled with toxic miasma and swarms of mutated insects. Cities and villages lie in ruins, some of them have become dreadful citadels inhabited by the undead. Aricus and his undying armies have inflicted a never-healing wound upon the world, a grim reminder of the horrors of necromancy. Even though the united human armies were able to prevent the corruption from spreading by scorching with fire large portions of the land at the borders, the territories that were already claimed by the plague can never be purified.
