BAAAAAHH I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS ALL WEEK AND NOW IT'S DONE AND I'M EXCITEDI think the metaphor here is pretty straightforward, but if you don't get it just comment and I'll try to explain. It's not just about pollution.
Done with art pens, acrylics, India ink, watercolor, and bits of ripped up sheet music.

Not reeeeaaally, it's more about industrialization and how the human race is sort of moving in two different directions. It's supposed to be sort of like the urban modern countries are smogging up the top of the page while the starving third world countries are just kind of hanging out in a puddle at the bottom, and the middle ground is getting smaller and smaller. The point is supposed to be that we can't breathe with a face full of smog but we can't breathe underwater either, so we're screwed either way unless we figure out how to sort of balance in the middle.
I think I'm not as good at representing all this conceptual stuff as I think I am. Nobody ever figures it out before I tell them.

That makes sense. Got to say, couldn't guess that one. I saw around three other possible interpretations. The faces on the side sort of made me think that perhaps it was something about see true beauty right before you die or something poetic and ridiculous like that. But the three panels make a lot more sense now. I also thought it might be something about Corey considering it was titled lungs and all and you posted it the day before her her birthday but it wasn't the strongest theme possible in the painting.
Pff. Here I am, telling what I think your own painting is about. Anyway, I think that you're very good at symbolicness. It's just your paintings can mean so many different things to so many different people. I think that's part of why people love your art so much. It can be personal, a meaning specifically to them and them alone. You've also not been explaining as much in the artist's comments as you used to so people don't know exactly how you want them to respond.
It's a beautiful painting. Even if it wasn't meant to mean what I thought it did, drowning was just one of my more practical guesses, it's still a gorgeous painting full of meaning. You have no idea how much power your paintings can have over people who look at them not only for their beauty but for their meaning as well. Anyway, point being, you're a great artist and have interesting thoughts. Sorry that this is probably rather stupid sounding as I'm delirious from sleep deprivation and have lower blood pressure than I normally do but at the moment I'm just too tired to phrase it in a way that would only take up a sentence.
I watched it. It was really interesting. The critic in me says the singer needed to enunciate more but... *shrugs*. It was good. Thank you for suggesting it.

Wow, that's really deep! Haha I love how your art has so much meaning and it just looks so great! You can convey emotion crazily well, especially if you really are 14. A lot of 14 year olds (myself included) are just like 'Oh lookee here, I done drawed a pretty person! It has no concept behind it at all, but it's pretty and that's all that matters!'
