first of all: the colors are really elegant and work nicely, blues and golds are the perfect byzantine/arabic match 
also, blue for the "outer" areas and gold for the "core" areas is a wise choice! a little too dark maybe, and in some points a little oversaturated, but it fits nicely with the title this way, it's more realistic let's say. I'm not really a fan of centered compositions, so I probably would have framed/cropped the flame in a different way, there's not a real "main subject" but a textured area that gradually fades in the background so it wouldn't grab much the eye or strike interest if you don't create a dynamic composition in my opinion. On the other side, I appreciate you didn't "fill the screen" with too much stuff 
I find it well balanced, with no excessive highlights or too weak colours (please forgive me for my primary school english, it's hard for me to express my mind properly 
)
