Someone asked me a while ago how I draw, and I needed to warm up somehow, so I made a quick speed-drawing of Atem. You can find it here . The quality isn't top-notch, and neither is the anatomy, but it's not catastrophical either so meh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I draw pretty much everything like this. And yes, every character starts off completely naked, I add clothes later. Sometimes, they stay naked, lol. I rarely skip drawing genitals either but ssscchhhh that's a secret!!
I enjoy drawing this prettyboy way too much, that's for sure
Tools I'm using: Regular blue colour pencil, 0.5 & 0.3 mechanical pencils, eraser pen, and lighting table
Time: around 30 minutes

OK, this is awesome. I always knew about this style, but I never knew all the steps involved. Looks like something that would make my works much cleaner. However. I love my style and the leaps I am making to not need that. Great tutorial though!

of my drawings i made after with markers (because its more realist) if i was to make a simple full body drawing. i will take 8 hours (for all details its 1 day), you know "need patient if you want to made exactly like your imagination" . And for the art i made of my profile image i just take 5 minutes. sorry if i wrote all of this. Sometimes i like say somes informations of me too (of how i draw) hope you don't mind.

Oh, I certainly don't mind! I think it's superinteresting to know how other people draw and what materials they use! And damn if I can relate to the patience thing! I'm not that good with that, most of my sketches end up as messy scribbles that I never do anything serious about and just feel like throwing away. I usually don't clock myself when drawing/painting something, but it can take quite some time before I get it right! Especially when painting digitally
I remember a fanart piece I made for one of my favorite fanfics that I struggled with for an entire week and after I was done, I just wanted to erase the damn thing, I hated it so much. But I posted it anyway, and two weeks later, it didn't look that bad. Hm, perhaps I should upload it here as well, I have so many things on my tumblr blog lol!

A polished sketch of a full body like that takes me around 40 minutes yes, unless it's a more complex pose of course. Those can take at least one and a half hour, sketching alone, and even more if there's more than one person on the pic -w-;;;;

Wowie, thank you! I bet it's the playback speed that gives that impression, I think it's nothing but clumsy and slow, but we're always our biggest critic so I shouldn't talk too much
Lighting tables are so useful it's insane! I definitely recommend getting one! They can be quite cheap to buy or build
I'll probably do more speed drawings/paintings in the future, it was kinda fun!
