Description Another alien for Wallace II. Great Plowheads are opportunistic predators and occasionally scavengers. They mainly frequent coastlines, forests, and "grasslands". The shape of their eye stalks is hypothesized to aid them in scanning the land below them, and increase their depth perception. This animal retains many features of its early ancestors, the Pterolocaridids. However, unlike its ancestors, it is less dependent on aquatic environments to lay eggs. These animals are ovoviviparous, and have been seen displaying nest building behavior; inspecting the ground intensely before making a gash in the terrain with their beaks and claws.
