"FINE" shouted Taka as he stormed from the den early one morning. His teenage hormones were getting the better of him, and he had erupted when Ahadi refused to show him how to be king. He had argued that something might happen to Mufasa, but Ahadi was adamant that Taka was not invited.

Stomping through the long grass, Taka sat down and glared at Pride Rock from afar. His father was stupid in his opinion, and his brother never backed him up. The only lion he had left was his mother, and she was always too busy, despite how she tried to spend time with her sons.

"Didn't want to be king anyway" he muttered to himself, a tear rolling down his cheek.

"A king?" came a voice from behind him. "Does that mean you are a Prince?"

Taka glared backwards for a while, not even bothering to turn his head. "Im not a Prince. Im a nobody. Go away."

"Are you Ahadi's son? My mother told me about your family. Your brother is going to be king isnt he?" asked the newcomer naively.

He winced, and turned around to look at who was annoying him. He saw a young lioness, only just a teenager, staring back at him with eccentric eyes. She was scruffy and skinny, as if she hadn't been eating properly.

"Who are you?" he asked hopelessly, preying she wasn't lost. If she was that meant he would have to wander round all day with her trying to find her pride.

"Im Zira, whats your name your highness?" she asked politely, giving a bow of her head.

Shocked, the Prince took a while to reply "Im Tak-Scar...My name is Scar...what are you doing here?"

"Scars a weird name for a lion! Im here because I have nowhere else to go. My family disowned me and I have no friends."

Scar was surprised that she was still smiling. Why was she so happy? Maybe she was crazy, thats why her family didnt want her anymore.

"Can I stay with you?" she asked, looking sweetly up at him.

He scowled, but pondered for a moment. Perhaps his father would think more of him if he had a furure mate. And besides, Zira respected him as a Prince, something no other lion seemed to do.

"Alright" he replied, "But on one condition. I will find you a cave to stay in. And you must stay there. No leaving.I will bring you food, and when the time is right, I will bring you to my dad."

"Yay!" she cried, and leapt into his arms. He had never been hugged before, so he froze up rather than returning the favor. Morning dew sprayed everywhere, and Zira cackled as she noticed some drops on Scar's whiskers. "So wheres this cave then?" she asked confidently.

"Err...this way..." panicked the Prince, as he hadn't thought of that yet. He would just have to walk with her untill they stumbled upon a cave. Scar just hoped that the hyena's wouldn't find her, or worse, his father.

Whew, Im glad I got this done!!!

Its a contest entry for , draw how Scar and Zira first met. I figure she was nuts when they first met, and they were just an awful influence on eachother. She would be telling him about all her nutty schemes and plans, and he would tell her about how she might end up as Queen if Ahadi and Mufasa die and there is no heir.

So yeah, its all good xD

Thats supposed to be morning dew. I fail ¬_¬ also, Scars nose is too big because his mane is small, bless him for being a teen!
