Original verse (in Russian) was inspired by this picture: [link] and now I've decided to create my own space cat and made the verse into English, too ^^

Космическая кошка сидела на окошке
И думала та кошка о том, что где-то есть
Космические мышки, космические рыбки,
Космические птички и целый Млечный путь.

Над кошкой проносились планеты по орбитам,
И звезды в темном небе вели свой хоровод.
А кошка все сидела, а кошка все мечтала
О том, что где-то в космосе ее ждет лунный кот.

A small space cat on the window sat
And gazed upon the star.
She thought a bit of this and that,
Of space mice there afar.

The planets moved in their slow grace
In silent void of black.
The cat just knew – across the space
Another cat gazed back.
