Name: Bear

Gender: Male
Age: 3 yrs
Breed: Alaskan Malamute/Siberian Husky mix
Height: 25"
Weight: 90 lbs
Short Description: Bear is a mixture of shades of white/gray and browns with striking blue eyes. As his name suggests he is fairly large for a dog(although very clearly not the largest of his breed.) His fur is thick enough to combat the weather surrounding him.

Personality: Bear knows he is strong, but won't ever shove him weight onto others to overpower them. Unless he feels like he has no choice in doing so. With that said he is probably what one would call a "gentle beast" for he is massive to the sight, but scratch his belly or offer him a delicious treat and he'll show you endless love. He is also intelligent, although his goofy habit tends to mask his brains leaving others with the impression that he is quite the bird brain. Calm to his very core, he tries his hardest to avoid conflict, but will not hesitate to stand up and defend his fellow sled dogs. Currently he has no true reason to hate wolf dogs for he has never seen one up close.

Background: Born to a mother Siberian husky, and a father Malamute Bear is far from purebred, but that did little to affect his ability and skills. He was taken from his mother almost as soon as he was weaned, and thus hardly knew her or his father, and was bought ever so generously by his new beloved owner Atka. His new home was great! Being just a puppy he was pampered and played with all the time, he had no qualms with his new place in life and quickly forgot about his parents.

Once he was big enough(forget the fact that he was already a large puppy) the play times increased more and more everyday. They also became more difficult and less fun.. His new owner no longer let him win, and didn't give him treats unless he did something right. It wasn't until later that he found out from one of the older dogs that this was no playtime, he was being trained.

He didn't particularly like training, but soon realized that the better he did at something the better the rewards would be. And so he tried harder to make is owner proud.. and to get a little extra treats. Eventually, 3 years later he was placed on the sled team at a wheel dog. He was no lead dog, but his strength and ability played a big part on the team.
