This had to be one of my FAVORITE prints that I did for Animenorth.
This print was done last minute because Colleen Clickenbeard was attending, and HAD to have something to sign!!!

Right off, Colleen is AMAZING!!! I was there when she signed 4 of my prints (myself, for my sister, and her sister), and each time she wrote something HILARIOUS on it! On mine she wrote:
Roy: “You know you want me!”
Riza: “Fat chance fire boy!”
It was GREAT!

I love these two characters individually and as a couple. They are refreshing because they are of the first characters that play a tremendous anti-stereotype to their gender roles. Riza is BY FAR the strongest most independent female character I have seen to date in any animated TV series/movie (I’ll say animated since I do not watch a lot of Live Action). Roy is very thoughtful, sensitive and remorseful… first time you see a male character contemplate the horrors of war and become remorseful, and repentant about engaging in violent behavior.
I’ll also give a shout out to Hues here... who by far is the first male character to adore his daughter as opposed to the traditional “Men want sons, hate daughters” routine we see in out societies today.

Anyhow, the image put my fav couple together… there is ANOTHER reason why these guys are so cute together, but I won’t say since it’s a spoiler, and I am spoiler free except that someone ruined that one for me. XD
Sucks to them!

Background is obvious... “Mustang” and “Hawkeye”... the animals are in the back. It was a bitch trying to decide what color to give the hawk.. I wanted a blue but there was already so much of that IN the picture, and green was too active. I settled for purple as it was “blue” enough with being a different color. XD
