Comm forBackground based on a baroque style library (commissioner's request) I don't remember the exact name but the library is in Prague.

One can learn alot about shading and lightning, also reflectional elements based on your art. I love this piece in particular! You portrayed this scene perfectly, even though you paid more detail on the background than the characters and this is simply PERFECT. Well done!

This is really stunning!Β I'm curious, do you draw/paint your backgrounds from scratch or do you convert/paint over them from photos?
I'm sorry if you consider that question insulting in some way, I'm just really curious because your backgrounds are so detailed and realistic in terms of perspective and proportions and all, and I know that it's a technique some artists use.

It's not a paint over, but I did base the perspective and such on the real ref photos (if you look closely there are a lot of inaccurate and simplified details, also the proportions of some part of the drawing too)

The room reminds me of Beauty and the Beast, and also a library in Library in Ireland (where they keep the book of Kells). The girls are very eye-catching, but in a simple, breathless kind of way. You know? They're not loud, almost muted in fact, but only makes me like them more. It's as if they're becoming one with the library itself.

Woah, I just love everything about this!! The dresses are magnificent and show a sense of unity with the girls, while also presenting their individuality very clearly! And the background is so well done, even the less focused spots don't deter from the image because of all the detail placed into it! And the way the lighting affects the stone or marble?? of the library is so beautiful with all the different hues!Β Β
