Description
Alright, so another piece for the art contest on Gaia, and only one left after this. I had a lot of fun with lighting on this one, and did the inking all digitally, which is interesting... Still need to learn more and play with it...I really should have worked with a larger file size, but i didn't make the original scan that big, so here we go.
Water is fun but difficult, also, i don't work with teal enough.
Textures from sgeier, because he's amazing.

My favorite part of this one is definitely the shadows, specifically that of her hand and her leg. The pose is also awesome--great work on her anatomy.

I'm absolutely fascinated by the textures of hte background. Also, nice work on the subtleness of the cold highlights on her flesh--appropriate for underwater.

thanks so much! I did a little...simpler colouring style on this one. I wanted a kind of comic book character kind of feel. Bold black lines, vibrant colours. <3

Aw, thank you so much! i had a lot of fun on this one, and she didn't take me as long as i was expecting her to, so hopefully i haven't oversighted anything major.
Yeah, I'm really putting all my best into this contest. I found out about it with enough time to have no excuse not to put together some really detailed, full-ability pieces. I always learn the most and push myself hardest for contests, where there's allt he freedom of doing art for myself, but all the pressure of trying to impress someone. It's a good combo for me. *laughs*
