How??? Did I??? Just draw this????!?? It was just supposed to be a dumb headshot to practice coloring! Nobody expected it to turn out good!

Hurray, it's Aelita! Aelita is a character from the the French cartoon Code Lyoko. A friend and I recently rediscovered it together, and spent pretty much every free moment watching it together. (We managed to get through about eighty episodes before the school year ended.) If you haven't seen it, you should fix that. As a kids' show it was pretty freaking awesome, though, being a kids' show, couldn't go into some of the darker concepts that would have been really interesting to explore. And no sex either grumble grumble.

Yeah, Aelita is underratedly such a strong character! She spends so much of her time running from monsters and hiding behind her combat-capable friends that you don't really get to appreciate how cool she is. She's just so sassy and tough in her words and actions, even if her combat strength can't quite match up. And I love love LOVE how even though Jeremie and co. rescued her from virtual damnation, she doesn't let him or anyone overpower her as a person. Ugh, all the characters are just so great.Except Jeremie he's a loser
