Here is just a quickie sketch of Red Sonja done with a tuscon red col-erase pencil. Sometimes it's nice just to kick back and sketch, the whole digital thing sometimes is a bore and a bother. I love looking at just pure pencil work!Related content

It's great to see your work in basic media again.
Whatever media an artist works in, the result is still the product of their talent and skill. But I agree with you: I enjoy seeing an artist's work at it's most "basic" level.
I agree with those who've commented on her face, and her hair is fabulous as well: a thick, luxuriant, cascading mane.

Damn, son! This is exactly the reason why I've put you on my watch list. She is stunning! (Do you do commissions?) I would so love to see you're rendition of Arwyn, from the old Sojourn comic. (It was from Crossgen, which went bankrupt a few yearw ago.) She's one of my top three favorites, right up there with Wonder Woman and... yep, Red Sonja!

Sojourn was the one CrossGen book I bought regularly. I do commissions when ever I can fit them in. If you're interested let me know and I can give you an idea on prices.

I love how smooth and round she is, she's very tidy. I find it amusing that you're so unfamiliar with J.M. Linsner's work, as you share the same love of coiffed and smooth hairstyles with him, and the same sense of pose. Gorgeous work!

Yeah this is nice stuff here. I bought some col-erase pencils nearly a year ago and haven't given them their proper time and place yet. I may just have to pull those out and put them to work, thanks for the inspiration!

If you should ever start using the Col-Erase pencils just practice a bit. Some of the colors are hard to work with others are nicer and easier. The Tuscon Red Pencil is a bit softer, and makes for better sketches. The greens are kind of hard. I've been using them for so long I hope they keep making the damn things. Thanks for your comments.
