I'm not going to lie to you, I was gutted when I had to take those ears off. But, I only did so several hours after the shoot.
I was so excited to do it aswell, the costume isn't the best, cause the majority of it I made myself. I was annoyed that the collar didn't stay upright, but I did buy only very cheap material. It didn't help that I only got a new sewing machine until the night before this shoot. The old one finally packed in and gave up the fight (I googled the serial number aswell. Half of that tunic was made using a 76year old Singer.)
The boots and the vambraces were made completely by hand.

Well, for what you had to work with you made a great series of pics! We all should be thanking you, because your work touches on things that are so hard to find (some one shooting a bow? Yes please!) And it's a shame that you had to take the ears off, you look so adorable! XD

Wow! That's pretty impressive! Definitely above my crafting level. Are the boots and vambraces leather?

Also, that is a very pretty bow.

nah they're fake leather. because I'm a veggie I don't like buying leather. Although, the scabbard on the sword is leather, because that's Robs. And the quiver for the arrows is also leather, again because I've borrowed that off someone else. The things I bloody do for stock eh?

plus it's alot cheaper. it was like.. a fiver for a metre of the fake leather stuff. (i ordered it online, there are no fabric shops left in my town. thank you recession. >.<)

I think I got better with the boots after I made the shoes for the Attuann shoot. though, those were sandals. it's not like I had a pattern, I just kinda, trial by doing. the same for the tunic. I just, went with it and it turned out.. acceptable I guess.

The shape for the vambraces were made out of a cereal box kellog's cornflakes to be precise they actually look more impressive than they are

but thank you!

i know.. i wish i could keep the bow.

I was overly impressed by the vambraces. Although they were a bitch to lace up lol

haha, yeah they were a little bit.. i think it was the fact that I resorted to dyed parcel string, cheap string at that, to lace it up. Because I didn't want to go and buy anymore of that brown thread that I used for the other shoot we did, that just wasnt cost effective.. 0-o

Hah! A woman after my own heart, you are! Screw research and patterns, just do it until it works!

As US citizen I would like to apologize for our people constantly forgetting that we're not the only ones short on cash at the moment.

*g* best way i learn is by trial and error. thats the way i learn most things. im too manly to read instructions.
i keep finding out that my new car does new things like, i can tilt the headlights and stuff. because i just really cant be bothered to read the thing that came with it when i could be say, reading Steven Erikson, or online.

yeah, what i wouldnt give to be one of those people who can just have absolutely everything they want. luckily. i don't want much.
saying that though, right now I reeeally want a place of my own, til living at home at the moment. but I don't want to rent, because that's dead money, and I hate wasting money. But you know what morgage I was offered? £30,000. that will barely get me a flat thats on fire.

Eh, renting's not so bad. And with most houses you'd have to take out a loan anyhow. I do like how you worded that, however.

yeah but i'd rather any money i was paying go towards something that in the end i could call mine, instead of something i was just, almost borrowing.
