The background was taken in Leanachan Forest, the hill in the background is the foothills round Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain, it begins its rise from sea-level on the shores of Loch Linnhe, to tower 4,406ft (1,344m) above the town of Fort William, providing an almost paternal presence. Geography lesson thrown in for free

Ben Nevis is a very popular climb, Fort William has rows and rows of guest houses, it's very popular with tourists, we usually have a race in the forest twice a year. Tis a fantastic place

usually a short one in November (8 miles-ish over a weekend) as a warm up pre-season and a decent one in Feb approx 20 miles
