Oooh, very cool looking fractal!

Reminds me of a virus floating in the bloodstream or something, very interesting design.

Yep, I've heard that. To me it looked like some futuristic planet or celestial body of some sort. Thanks for the comment

my critique... make more!! spend more time softening the noise.. maybe a solar flare or stars in the negative space....

Dude. Whoa. That is amazing.

You did ask for critique, though, so I'll also mention that it's a bit grainy. The grain doesn't really suit such a "sci-fi" image, IMHO.

But seriously, I could never do anything like this is apophysis.

I added the grain to make it a little old school, vintage looking. Kind of like an aged photograph of a distant planet. Thats why I desaturated it as well.

I like it, to the point of favoriting- I like the forms and composition, and I'm always a fan of well-placed intricacy. my only suggestions would be to remove the graininess, and to replace the black with a background small and subtle - maybe stars?

nice work, makes me want to learn the fractals

One thing however is, at full size this is over 5000X. I cant find a background that big

awesome. it very much looks like something coming out of the clouds. the composition is good. i think there's a bit to much negative space in the right side of the picture, but that doesn't matter because my browser won't show it any way. . in all, a great fractal.

I have to say: I really like this piece...a lot.

It feels like a lot like a futuristic picture. I see the Sun rebuilt by scientists after our own lost it's power. The near-black-and-white gradient is very nice here, and provides a lot more emotion than any other colored gradient would do. Also, the placement of your two fractals is very good.

The only thing I question is the grain of the clouds. Personally, I loathe any sort of grain, but this is a very interesting case, seeing that the fractal was made to represent clouds..perhaps you wanted grain, perhaps not. It's something to think about.

Other than that, I think it's a great image! I'd love to see this doubled in size. It would also make a nice image on a mug.

I have the grain there because I rendered the clouds at eh quality. But I added another bit of grain in postworking to balance it out, and give it that vintaged look. I've got it higher res anyways, but I dont want to upload it at full size

Oooh this is pretty... it makes me think of cells and budding. Yay for mitosis.

I don't know much about fractals, so I can't critique much, but I do like the graininess to the right... makes me think of outer space. I think it's a very nice composition.

Thanks. There was a little grain from the low quality of the fractal, so what I did was add noise to the entire image to balance it and give it that vintaged feel. Thanks for the comment!
