I agree with you, it more mining looking must be but all the charm of star wars world is in their longevity - we have great excerpts of the time of the history of the planet, which remain unaccounted , we can fantasize about this topic, maybe one time in the past it was like this)

That could be one theory, sure. Then again, Nkllon is too close to the star to support life, to have water or even atmosphere. Those kinds of things don't really change all that much.
