Suicune is cheetah. You're a fool if you think otherwise.
My take on the legendary beast. I spent extra time on him because he's never been one of my favorites. I like how he turned out.
I have no idea what the weird purple cape growth he has is supposed to represent, so I made it the Northern Lights. It makes him cooler.

Entei, Raiku and Suicune are all considered legendary dogs... even though they don't look anything like dogs... at all. Entei's more like a beast-ass lion, Raiku's like a saber-toothed tiger, and Suicune's like some kind of dog/cat hybrid, so when I first found out about this I was like WTF? (oh and for the record, if you've ever seen a Chinese lion, Entei doesn't look anything like it.)

I see masses of realistic wolf-suicunes and then I see this. Even the best of the wolves can't compare to how Suicune-ish this one looks. The fact that it is at least part cat can be seen when you look at the official art, a wolf-suicune, and this one. Suicune in general has a jaw that is much more feline than canine. I just love this. It's well drawn and as I said earlier, very Suicune!

This is such a beautiful piece of art!
Though I agree that Suicune is more like a cheetah, it is (and Raikou and Entei) actually based off a mythical Chinese lion which are cat/dog/whatever crosses.
