Description So this is a drawing I did that correlates to this one monologue that I wrote for my acting class which was inspired by the Sigur Ros song "Untitled 1". The assignment was to pick a song that we emotionally connect to and create a performance piece out of it (any kind of performance, not just a monologue). So I picked this song and I'm pretty sure that I was more inspired by the music video than the song itself, but it's a good song and it works well. So me being me, I picked to do a monologue, but I didn't just want to do the monologue. It needed to be different, so I drew this to go along with it.

In case you're curious, here's the text to my piece:
You'll get used to it. Do you remember how you went? My family was the first to go. We were sitting in our kitchen, eating lunch. That's when the sirens rang. We weren't expecting anything. We hid in the basement. After moments of silence, the bomb hit. There was a loud bang and a hot flash and then... nothing. You see that boy over there, in the blue hat? That's my brother, Danny. He was outside the  blast radius, finishing his lessons at school. He's the only one in my family who survived. Look at him, playing with the other children in ash covered earth. It won't last, you know. Resources are limited, and they can only handle so much. The children... so young. They won't ever again see the blue sky or play in the white snow. They'll never be able to feel the soft grass under their feet or the wind blowing against their faces as they run under the warm glow of the sun. All they'll remember is the falling ash, the blackened sun, their masked faces... that's why I made this. I used to always draw for Danny. Each day, he came home to something new. It'll give him something to look at. *sets drawing on ground* Happy birthday, buddy.
