I know, that's why it was so hard x] He's such an upbeat character that it's really hard to pull him down to this level. Won't ever do it again - Fry is meant to be smiley and loving

That same kind of swticheroo happened on Star Trek TNG between the counselor and Denise Crosby. I've had ideas that have hit me late in the writing process; I recently had a story take on a whole new direction.
