Selene is goddess representing the new moon and also is a minor goddess of healing. Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, as well as the moon.

I agree...I can't do open mouthed smiles....but you did this one really well. The colour and pose definitely shrieks elegance, and it contrasts from Hecate quite well. Great work...gah, I wish I could do half as well!

I feel the purple works very well here instead of blue; it gives a warmer feeling than Hecate, but it still mystical. Her hair is great, too, as the curls go well with the crescent moon (which has a great texture and glow to it, as well). Simple, yet elegant pose adds to this feeling, and the dress-skirt with all its folds is absolutely gorgeous. The hanging orbs for stars are adorable, IMO. Great job, Tasuki!

Artemis is best known for being the goddess of hunting, childbirth, nature, and of the harvest. Sometimes, she IS known for also being a goddess of the moon, although Selene is more closely associated with the moon.
