Saw this lovely piece and was inspired to write a blurb:
You may not be who you thought you'd be,
but you also didn't know exactly who you were
when you came up with that pseudo-heroic version of your future self.
Maybe you didn't see the hurts that added up to your deer-like tendency
to run whenever something got too close,
or moved a hair faster than you expected.
Maybe you didn't hear that quiet voice
in a dark corner of a dream you forgot
that was ready to spill every last miserable secret
about your true self. No one does.
I hope that in between your moments
of panic or loss or confusion some inkling of that voice
echoes through, and clarity comes,
as sure as the moon is lit by the sun:
that you are always who you thought you'd be,
you just didn't know it yet.

The most beautiful woodburn work I've seen so far.
But may I ask a question:
Most woodburn pictures are in brownish colors, how to make the sky and lake gray? Does it have anything to do with the temperatures?
