Shifting: Terra has the ability to shift, at will, into a canine form. She has a thick build with a dense coat, upright ears and well defined muzzle. When placed under duress or sudden attack, she can and will shift into a highly volatile, dangerous berserker form. Terra is unable to control this form and she acts purely on instinct, usually defensive. She cannot be reasoned with and she will only shift back once she has exhausted herself, or the perceived threat gone.

History: Born to a trader and his wife, Terra was raised constantly on the move and always seeking items of value to trade and sell. At the age of thirteen, she was promised to a local band of raiders in exchange for goods and horses. Brought up to believe her new life would be full of wealth, travel, children and happiness, Terra learned a huge life lesson when she came to realize that her gleaming dreams would never be a reality. The man who became her husband was quiet, stern and strict. His favor of her fell when it became apparent that any attempts have children was seemingly futile. Soon her life was full of solitude and she constantly found her eyes on the horizon, wanting something more.

Seeking any outlet for her many quiet, lonely hours, Terra began to express an old interest in herbal medicine. Finding a niche among the band of wild, rowdy men, she began to treat small wounds and daily aches and pains. Little did she know that her skills would be her escape. After miraculously healing a very ill man, the band began to spread whispers that Terra's abilities were more than skillful use of dried herbs and roots. Fearing magic was at play, the men banished Terra from their borders, driving her into The Wastes to perish.

Refusing to simply die in the hostile desert, Terra fought for her survival, quickly learning how to navigate the impossible landscape and find food, water and shelter for her and her horse. Foraging for what little resources she could, Terra not only lived, but she thrived. Before long, she realized that one sliver of her dreams had become a reality, she was with child. Love for her child and anger at her fate drove her to work harder, turning the desolate, uninhabitable desert into her own personal haven.

She was discovered shortly after her daughter's birth by a group of travelers. She willingly went with them, realizing she could not sustain survivability in The Wastes. During her travels, Terra was 'gifted' magic by the Guardian Iprasil. She sees her ability to shift as a curse, but has learned to live with her new form.
