During the war against Landtowers, extraordinarily powerful beings were created to defeat them, to cast them off into the core of the planet.
One such being was Magnis: One who wielded the power of both the flames and earth that make up this world, in order to absorb and snuff the heat energy out of Landtowers. As the term would go, Magnis literally fought fire... with fire.
After his task was done, Magnis was put to rest, intending on hibernating for eternity within a secret cave. However, once awakened, his wrath knows no bounds... And he'll use the very same attacks he crushed Landtowers with against you!
Better make your prayers now...

Ironically smaller than one.
The reason it was able to defeat them with ease was because it was created specifically to bypass their strength, and take advantage of any possible weakness they have.
And it didn't quite work alone, either....

The reason why Landtowers were winning the war was because they used the massive strength, which got 'em far because the other beings that existed back then couldn't counter such a thing. In a way, too few of them were created, that were given too much individual power.
But obviously, they weren't created for pure combat, so that's why they eventually fell to beings that were, such as Magnis.
So it ain't a complete mystery.
