That's a tough one. Both have a power up that makes them unstoppable. Popeye get reality warping powers from spinach so that gives him a edge. On the other hand Asterix have a exceptional intelligence and is a professional warrior, one of the best in a village full of elite soldiers.

He canΒ give the sun a black eye. Β He knocked a comet that would have destroyed the Earth into tiny bits. He once had access to the resources of a company "Standard Oyl Corporation" that was going to destroy the universe within years by exerting/draining all of its natural resources. His spinach effect makes him more too much for Asterix.
