This would be very hard to decide (I'm a Pokemon fan and grew up with the series since the beginning, but also grew up around Dragonball for a brief time), but it seems both of DBZ's Universe 7 and the Pokemon Universe will be completely doomed if these two would to go at it.
Arceus does have the power to compete with Beerus, but Beerus has Hakai which can erase Arceus completely if the Original One isn't careful.

It's interesting when the characters have something ELSE in common. You pick the alchemy and differences that would make it interesting after !
Like in iron man vs Lex Luthor, both are intelligent billionaire who use technological armor and gadget to beat the crap out of people, THEN it is a battle of good vs evil !

Thats a gameplay mechanic, Arceus being able to get captured, in the Manga that failed miserably. Its kind of like how I can kill Beerus with Videl or Hercule while playing Xenoverse.

M'eh, I really don't like that argument. Since the "ten year old brat" isn't gonna do anything in THIS fight in particular, it's really overlooking things. It's like for Bowser vs Ganon (for exemple) i would say "Ganon would loose 'cause he got his ass kicked by a pre-teen with a sword". Kind of insulting ! D:
Arceus has the power to create entire dimensions or destroy them if wished.
I wouldn't say he would surely win. (mostly 'cause I don't care), but you have to give Pokemon credit for what they are instead of the one who defeat them.
