I have a story idea about one of the howling banshees being the sole survivor of a mission to retrieve some soul stones from a human world that goes wrong when some marines show up. It also ends with her own stone being shattered and taking near fatal injuries. The only thing she can accomplish is crawling away with the bag holding the stones her group was collecting. Then she passes out and has a horrible nightmare involving Slaanesh coming to claim her, but she wakes up in the house of two human orphans who found and saved her. The brother is a rogue who wants to sell the bag of "gems" on the black market, the sister is the one who saved the "tall ladies" life. Because she is nice and naive and she doesn't really know much about imperial policy.
Our protagonist then takes back the bag with the priceless content by force and prepares to leave when the inquisition knocks on the door and threatens to kill the kids on the spot. Realizing the siblings saved her and her dead kin from becoming Slaaneshi joy toys, she rushes in shrieking and kills all the inquisitors in seconds. From now on they form a group of fugitives since the siblings are wanted for aiding an alien, and the eldar owes them a huge debt of gratitude.
Thus begins a quest to make it back to the nearest craftworld to save the souls in the bag and to get our protagonist a new soulstone. The stakes are pretty high...
