Mate, this is awesome! I've got a thousand questions I want to ask but heres two. 1. Did you make your schematic plans for the armor/helmet or did you get it from a site? 2. Is it really expensive to make? p.s dat blue & black is super boss

Thanks! I made the schematics for the armor and I modified pepikura plans for the helmet. If I had to approximate how much I spent, it would be a little more than $100. I will spend a bit more to do the lights out of EL tape and wiring of the suit so that I can take it apart.

little more than $100, just for the EVA foam armor, bargain! I'm hoping to create the (medium-light) armor from ME1 with Kaidan's helmet for a fan film project, probably gonna be more difficult than your's cause the EVA has to be thin :/ and flexible enough to move around.

That sounds cool! I don't have much trouble with moving around believe it or not. I can sit, walk, run and jump but I avoid doing combat rolls XD. I recommend that you make the parts out of paper first to make sure that they fit together correctly and then cut them out of the foam. I used Hot-melt glue to put them together and 1 1/2" webbing with D-rings to make the straps. Also, some parts, like the blue parts that go around my body and down the backside are about 1/16" EVA foam. You can use whatever you want but those are some things I used that worked for me

Keep me posted on the film, project. Sounds like fun!

Thanks so much, really really appreciate the advice. My film is very combat orientated so it's best to scrap the combat rolls for the sake of preserving the armor. The film is currently in pre-production (finishing script, gathering actors, building armor etc) so it'll be a while til we announce a release date but we aim to make it as enjoyable as possible including acting, shoddy acting can destroy the experience so that's our most important thing to work on. I'll keep you posted on the project A.S.AP, stay tune
