Good question. I consider this comic out of continuity (although I feel silly claiming there's a continuity!), but it's possible. More likely, he couldn't resist his Seeker instincts.

Is there a difference between the Hasbro and Takara First Edition Starscreams? I know sometimes Takara versions have shinier or more detailed paint jobs. Considering that, then no, I suppose don't have all the Starscreams after all, but I believe I have all the major variants that exist at the moment.

There is actually.  He's actually just got some darker paint applications then the Hasbro FE version. I'm not sure if its shiny paint of not as I don't own one yet. Another interesting fact is he comes in root mode already in the package instead of being in his vehicle mode. He's fairly expensive and considered valuable so if you get one you might want to keep in box.

It doesn't look like he has shiny paint. I started collecting when "Transformers Animated" was on the air, so my first figures were from that series. When I learned that the Takara figures had shiny paint jobs, I was envious! However, I knew there had to be a limit to my madness. Generally, I don't seek out the Japanese figures- better for my wallet and my sanity! Prime Thundercracker and Skywarp are exceptions because there are no American counterparts for them. Also, I eventually did get a shiny TFA Starscream secondhand.

Thanks! I love collecting this guy, although maybe I shouldn't. Hasbro is clearly onto us; they never stop coughing up Starscreams. And thanks for the watch! Reminds me that I need to take my new Windblade out of her plastic and have some fun with her...

I can understand this sentiment in its entirety, collecting overseas figures can be pricey and time consuming. I generally only collect th ones i want in this case I grabbed TC and War because of the same reasons. I'm not to happy about there wing additions though but beggers can't be choosers either.

Ugh, yes. That's one thing I'd remove if I could, but they don't get in the way too much. I wasn't so crazy about the sticker sheets either just because I was paranoid about applying them incorrectly (and that they would eventually peel off), but I was careful and managed. Putting together their little pets, however, that hurt my fingers!

If I could, I probably would snap up all the Japanese TFA toys- so pretty! But never mind the money, I don't have the shelf space!

I have so many Starscreams that the only reason they haven't taken over is that they're Starscreams. Like they could ever work together on anything- they'll never agree on who gets to be the leader.

Primus below if I could import all the tak toys i would but they cost a literal arm and a leg so i really wont do it with anything beyond the prime stuff and the masterpeice stuff when its reasonably priced that is.

Though i wont deny that the TFA Tak Starscream isn't amazing. I wouldn't mind owning one at all so pretty *.*
